1  Sciral / Sciral Consistency Q&A / Re: Licensing/Mac + Win Bundle on: November 02, 2007, 01:33:35 AM
We could fill the upper-left corner with something like... oh... ads. Joke, joke!

Or maybe you could add a counter for the total number of tasks and the number of overdue tasks there (although that could be intimidating for some people, so you'd probably better also add the possibility to switch it off...).
2  Sciral / Sciral Consistency Feature Requests / Palm Version + Sync on: October 30, 2007, 01:09:42 PM
It's been a looong time since this has been requested, so I'd like to revitalize the request for a Palm version. Those two seem to be a natural fit, because both (Consistency and Palm) excel in their simplicity.

As I wrote in another post, I have a PC at the Office and a Mac at home, and a Palm version to keep both in sync (Palm version w/o sync capabilities would be useless for me) would be great.

It would be nice if you'd use categories that sync over the Palm.
3  Sciral / Sciral Consistency Feature Requests / Re: More Flexible Recurrence Options on: October 30, 2007, 12:59:37 PM
+1 for weekday-only count.
But please make it a task-specific option, not a global one (my plants don't care if it's weekend or not).
4  Sciral / Sciral Consistency Feature Requests / Re: Sort Order/"Unsort" on: October 30, 2007, 12:56:58 PM
Oops, I completely missed that there is always Edit|Undo (or Ctrl-Z), naturally (and I didn't really expect this 'one-trick pony' to have multiple undos, which is nice).

But that only partially solves the problem, I'd still like to have "Sort by manual order".
5  Sciral / Sciral Consistency Q&A / Fonts/Interface on Windows on: October 30, 2007, 11:42:16 AM
I didn't want to insult anyone, sorry, but just thought that the Win version looks 'cheap' w/ its huge areas of blank space and the whole spartan interface. The Mac version looks much nicer, but that's probably partly due to the OS. Maybe it looks better when it's filled with lots of tasks.

Fonts look fuzzy, a little (in the program interface) resp. very (in the help file). Never noticed this fuzziness in another program.

I'm running XP SP2 w/ ClearType enabled (but I tamed it a little w/ MS ClearType Tuner).

There is also a problem w/ German 'umlauts' (,,,): When I enter a word containing an 'umlaut', that letter is surrounded by additional whitespaces on save (I tried to attach a screenshot here, but got an error back, saying that the upload directory was not writeable).

Edit: Now I uploaded the screenshot elsewhere and embedded it here. Note that I did not enter those spaces.

Edit (2): This problem only exists w/ the Windows version, it doesn't happen w/ the Mac version.
6  Sciral / Sciral Consistency Q&A / Licensing/Mac + Win Bundle on: October 28, 2007, 11:07:56 AM
Like many people, I have a Mac at home and a PC at the office.

I'd like to use Consistency with both, but the price is a little too much for me to afford both (IMO, even asingle license is a little on the expensive side, but that's another question). Could one get a discount when buying both?

BTW, the Windows version is ugly (fonts, esp. in the help file).
7  Sciral / Sciral Consistency Feature Requests / Sort Order/"Unsort" on: October 28, 2007, 11:01:09 AM
When tasks were arranged manually (or entered in some useful order) and you sort them by name/due date/priority/consistency, there is no way to revert to the manually customized sort order. Manually arranging the order of tasks is useful for grouping them, and that's lost every time tasks are sorted otherwise, with no way back.
There should be a way to "unsort" the tasks (go back to manually arranged order).

The only way to do this now seems to be using special prefixes or numbers (and sort by name), which is an ugly workaround.
